Dorset Youth Marching Band of Wimborne. (A Corfe Mullen Registered Charity) Gives thanks to the people of Wimborne for making them the official Wimborne Town Band.
We wish the all in Wimborne a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and a big THANK YOU for your valued support. If any child in Wimborne from the age of 7 years would like to be a member of this band, we practice every Wednesday Evening from 7pm. You can see The Dorset Youth Marching Band of Wimborne At Wimborne Christmas Save the Children Parade on 12th December marching from the Wimborne Market site to the Square then onto the Wimborne minster.
Discussion forums
Before registering, Mark added a couple of anonymous comments to the 'Editorial/welcome' page (A New Thing) which weren't connected with a welcome to a new site. These comments weren't spotted quickly as content requiring moderation (it's actually quite easy to NOT notice newly-added anonymous comments) so they didn't get approved. So Mark registered and immediately added this new forum thread to promote his group and event.
Forums are for discussion, not notices; if you want to engage with others, a forum thread is the way to do it. You open the discussion by offering a viewpoint and asking what others think. You're opening a discussion on a topic of your choice and people add comments on the same subject in reply.
In future, any forum thread posted solely to advertise or promote something with no question or topic to discuss will be removed.
We'll be happy to add links to organisations like Dorset Youth Marching Band in the 'directory' and to add events to the 'diary'. Soon, there will be a 'notices' section where snippets of news and information can be placed. We can also add a new front page item if someone provides news or an article which may interest readers.
