Every year at Christmas, some people really go to town on their exterior illuminations. There are usually some very elaborate ones with hundreds of lights forming animated images, quite a few make some effort with strings of static or flashing lights while most others (like me) realise we can't compete without a lot of effort, so we don't.

Do you like to see sophisticated displays and see those who make an effort as partaking in the "Christmas spirit" and you want to encourage them to compete? Maybe you think it's just tacky. If you like them please nominate your favourite local ones and tell us all where to find them. If you don't, what's wrong with them?

If you'd like to send in a picture of a good local example, we'll show it here. This gives us the chance to see the best ones without going out in the rain.

Alternatively have a gripe about Christmas lights in general if you're not impressed.
